This film was demonstrated in the Russian pavilion at the International "EXPO-2005" Exhibition in the city of Nagoya, Japan.
A high-speed (500 km/hour) route "Moscow — Tokyo" was used as an example to demonstrate a heavy double-rail SkyRail system. A comparative analysis was made between SkyRail and other transportation systems including a high-speed railway, monorail and highway (Note that the comparison analysis of the cost of the track structure did not include the rolling stock and infrastructure costing was based on 2004 prices).
Today the scale of human losses as a result of traffic accidents are horrifying and the number of people killed every year is estimated in millions of deaths. Tens of millions of km of highways with their lifeless asphalt crust alone are responsible for the destruction of tens of millions of hectares. The total area destroyed under roads alone exceeds the total area of such countries as Germany and United Kingdom.
A wide-scale application of environmentally friendly and safe SkyRail system will make it possible to preserve our Planet and convince our descendants that people could live in harmony with Nature, and this life is beautiful.
